ବସନ୍ତକାଳ ରେ, ଯୋୟାବ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସୈନ୍ଯବାହିନୀକୁ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ନିମନ୍ତେ କଢ଼ାଇ ନେଲେ। ବର୍ଷର ସହେି ସମୟରେ ରାଜାମାନେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବାହାରି ଆସୁଥିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଦାଉଦ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ରହିଲେ। ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସୈନ୍ଯବାହିନୀ ଅମ୍ମାନେ ଦେଶକୁ ଗଲେ ଓ ତାକୁ ବିନାଶ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ରବ୍ବା ନଗରୀକୁ ଗଲେ ଓ ତା'ର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗ ରେ ଛାଉଣୀ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ। ନଗର ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ବାହାରକୁ କିଅବା ନଗର ମଧ୍ଯକୁ କାହାରିକୁ ୟିବାକୁ ଅନୁମତି ଦେଲେ ନାହିଁ। ଯୋୟାବ ଓ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ସୈନ୍ଯଗଣ ରବ୍ବା ନଗରୀକୁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଭାବରେ ଧ୍ବଂସ କଲେ।

ବସନ୍ତକାଳ ରେ, ଯୋୟାବ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସୈନ୍ଯବାହିନୀକୁ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ନିମନ୍ତେ କଢ଼ାଇ ନେଲେ। ବର୍ଷର ସହେି ସମୟରେ ରାଜାମାନେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବାହାରି ଆସୁଥିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଦାଉଦ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ରହିଲେ। ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସୈନ୍ଯବାହିନୀ ଅମ୍ମାନେ ଦେଶକୁ ଗଲେ ଓ ତାକୁ ବିନାଶ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ରବ୍ବା ନଗରୀକୁ ଗଲେ ଓ ତା'ର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗ ରେ ଛାଉଣୀ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ। ନଗର ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ବାହାରକୁ କିଅବା ନଗର ମଧ୍ଯକୁ କାହାରିକୁ ୟିବାକୁ ଅନୁମତି ଦେଲେ ନାହିଁ। ଯୋୟାବ ଓ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ସୈନ୍ଯଗଣ ରବ୍ବା ନଗରୀକୁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଭାବରେ ଧ୍ବଂସ କଲେ।
