1 Chronicles 14:11
ଏହାପରେ ଦାଉଦ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ଲୋକମାନେ ବାଲ୍-ଫରାସୀମ ସହରକୁ ଗଲେ ଓ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ। ଦାଉଦ କହିଲେ, ପରମେଶ୍ବର ମାେ ଦ୍ବାରା ମାେ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଯା ବ୍ଯାପିବା ତୁଲ୍ଯ ଧ୍ବଂସ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନର ନାମ ବାଲ୍-ପରାସୀମ୍ ରଖାଗଲା।

ସମୁଦ୍ର ତା'ର ପୂର୍ବ ଅବସ୍ଥାକୁ ଆସିବାରୁ ସମସ୍ତ ରଥଗୁଡିକ, ଅଶ୍ବାରୋହୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦିତ କଲା। ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ପଛ ରେ ଗୋଡଉଥିବା ଫାରୋଙ୍କର ସମଗ୍ର ସୈନ୍ଯବାହୀନି ସମୁଦ୍ର ରେ ବୁଡିଗଲେ। କହେି ଜଣେ ହେଲବି ସୈନ୍ଯ ବଞ୍ଚିଲେ ନାହିଁ।

ତା'ପରେ ଦାଉଦ ବାଲ୍-ପରାସୀମକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଗଲେ, ଏବଂ ସଠାେରେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ। ଦାଉଦ କହିଲେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାରେ ଶତୃମାନଙ୍କୁ ଛିନ୍ନ ବିଛିନ୍ନ କଲେ, ଯେପରି ନଦୀ ଭଙ୍ଗାବନ୍ଧକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ବହି ନଇୟୋଏ। ଯେଉଁଥିପାଇଁ ଦାଉଦ ଉକ୍ତ ସ୍ଥାନର ନାମ ବାଲ୍-ପରାସୀମ ରଖିଥିଲେ।

Psalm 144:1
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାରେ ଶୈଳ, ତାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଶଂସା ହେଉ। ସେ ମାେତେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ପାଇଁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଅନ୍ତି। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେତେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ପାଇଁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଅନ୍ତି।
