ଦାଉଦ କହିଲେ, ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର, ମୁଁ ଏହି ଜଳକୁ ପାନ କରି ନ ପା ରେ। କାରଣ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ନିଜ ଜୀବନକୁ ବିପନ୍ନ କରି ଏହି ଜଳ ମାେ' ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆଣି ଅଛନ୍ତି, ମୁଁ ତାହା ପାନ କରିବା ଦ୍ବାରା ସମାନଙ୍କେ ରକ୍ତ ପାନ କରିବା ସଦୃଶ ହବେ। ସେଥି ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦାଉଦ ସହେି ଜଳପାନ କରିବାକୁ ମନା କଲେ। ଏହିପରି ଏହି ତିନି ବୀର ଅନକେ ଦୁଃସାହସିକ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯମାନ କରିଥିଲେ।
