וַיַּרְאֵ֗נִי he va-yahr-A-nee אֶת shewed et יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ me yeh-hoh-SHOO-AH הַכֹּהֵ֣ן ha-koh-HANE הַגָּד֔וֹל Joshua ha-ɡa-DOLE עֹמֵ֕ד the oh-MADE לִפְנֵ֖י high leef-NAY מַלְאַ֣ךְ priest mahl-AK יְהוָ֑ה standing yeh-VA וְהַשָּׂטָ֛ן before veh-ha-sa-TAHN עֹמֵ֥ד the oh-MADE עַל angel al יְמִינ֖וֹ of yeh-mee-NOH לְשִׂטְנֽוֹ׃ the leh-seet-NOH -
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר the va-YOH-mer יְהוָ֜ה Lord yeh-VA אֶל said el הַשָּׂטָ֗ן unto ha-sa-TAHN יִגְעַ֨ר Satan, yeeɡ-AR יְהוָ֤ה The yeh-VA בְּךָ֙ Lord beh-HA הַשָּׂטָ֔ן rebuke ha-sa-TAHN וְיִגְעַ֤ר thee, veh-yeeɡ-AR יְהוָה֙ O yeh-VA בְּךָ֔ Satan; beh-HA הַבֹּחֵ֖ר even ha-boh-HARE בִּירֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם the bee-roo-sha-la-EEM הֲל֧וֹא Lord huh-LOH זֶ֦ה that zeh א֖וּד hath ood מֻצָּ֥ל chosen moo-TSAHL מֵאֵֽשׁ׃ Jerusalem may-AYSH -
וִיהוֹשֻׁ֕עַ Joshua vee-hoh-SHOO-ah הָיָ֥ה was ha-YA לָבֻ֖שׁ clothed la-VOOSH בְּגָדִ֣ים with beh-ɡa-DEEM צוֹאִ֑ים filthy tsoh-EEM וְעֹמֵ֖ד garments, veh-oh-MADE לִפְנֵ֥י and leef-NAY הַמַּלְאָֽךְ׃ stood ha-mahl-AK -
וַיַּ֣עַן he va-YA-an וַיֹּ֗אמֶר answered va-YOH-mer אֶל and el הָעֹמְדִ֤ים spake ha-oh-meh-DEEM לְפָנָיו֙ unto leh-fa-nav לֵאמֹ֔ר those lay-MORE הָסִ֛ירוּ that ha-SEE-roo הַבְּגָדִ֥ים stood ha-beh-ɡa-DEEM הַצֹּאִ֖ים before ha-tsoh-EEM מֵעָלָ֑יו him, may-ah-LAV וַיֹּ֣אמֶר saying, va-YOH-mer אֵלָ֗יו Take ay-LAV רְאֵ֨ה away reh-A הֶעֱבַ֤רְתִּי the heh-ay-VAHR-tee מֵעָלֶ֙יךָ֙ filthy may-ah-LAY-HA עֲוֹנֶ֔ךָ garments uh-oh-NEH-ha וְהַלְבֵּ֥שׁ from veh-hahl-BAYSH אֹתְךָ֖ him. oh-teh-HA מַחֲלָצֽוֹת׃ And ma-huh-la-TSOTE -
וָאֹמַ֕ר I va-oh-MAHR יָשִׂ֛ימוּ said, ya-SEE-moo צָנִ֥יף Let tsa-NEEF טָה֖וֹר them ta-HORE עַל set al רֹאשׁ֑וֹ a roh-SHOH וַיָּשִׂימוּ֩ fair va-ya-see-MOO הַצָּנִ֨יף mitre ha-tsa-NEEF הַטָּה֜וֹר upon ha-ta-HORE עַל his al רֹאשׁ֗וֹ head. roh-SHOH וַיַּלְבִּשֻׁ֙הוּ֙ So va-yahl-bee-SHOO-HOO בְּגָדִ֔ים they beh-ɡa-DEEM וּמַלְאַ֥ךְ set oo-mahl-AK יְהוָ֖ה a yeh-VA עֹמֵֽד׃ fair oh-MADE -
וַיָּ֙עַד֙ the va-YA-AD מַלְאַ֣ךְ angel mahl-AK יְהוָ֔ה of yeh-VA בִּיהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ the bee-hoh-SHOO-ah לֵאמֹֽר׃ Lord lay-MORE -
כֹּה saith koh אָמַ֞ר the ah-MAHR יְהוָ֣ה Lord yeh-VA צְבָא֗וֹת of tseh-va-OTE אִם hosts; eem בִּדְרָכַ֤י If beed-ra-HAI תֵּלֵךְ֙ thou tay-lake וְאִ֣ם wilt veh-EEM אֶת walk et מִשְׁמַרְתִּ֣י in meesh-mahr-TEE תִשְׁמֹ֔ר my teesh-MORE וְגַם ways, veh-ɡAHM אַתָּה֙ and ah-TA תָּדִ֣ין if ta-DEEN אֶת thou et בֵּיתִ֔י wilt bay-TEE וְגַ֖ם keep veh-ɡAHM תִּשְׁמֹ֣ר teesh-MORE אֶת my et חֲצֵרָ֑י charge, huh-tsay-RAI וְנָתַתִּ֤י then veh-na-ta-TEE לְךָ֙ thou leh-HA מַהְלְכִ֔ים shalt ma-leh-HEEM בֵּ֥ין also bane הָעֹמְדִ֖ים judge ha-oh-meh-DEEM הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ ha-A-leh -
שְֽׁמַֽע now, SHEH-MA נָ֞א O na יְהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ׀ Joshua yeh-hoh-SHOO-ah הַכֹּהֵ֣ן the ha-koh-HANE הַגָּד֗וֹל high ha-ɡa-DOLE אַתָּה֙ priest, ah-TA וְרֵעֶ֙יךָ֙ thou, veh-ray-A-HA הַיֹּשְׁבִ֣ים and ha-yoh-sheh-VEEM לְפָנֶ֔יךָ thy leh-fa-NAY-ha כִּֽי fellows kee אַנְשֵׁ֥י that an-SHAY מוֹפֵ֖ת sit moh-FATE הֵ֑מָּה before HAY-ma כִּֽי thee: kee הִנְנִ֥י for heen-NEE מֵבִ֛יא they may-VEE אֶת are et עַבְדִּ֖י men av-DEE צֶֽמַח׃ wondered TSEH-mahk -
כִּ֣י׀ behold kee הִנֵּ֣ה the hee-NAY הָאֶ֗בֶן stone ha-EH-ven אֲשֶׁ֤ר that uh-SHER נָתַ֙תִּי֙ I na-TA-TEE לִפְנֵ֣י have leef-NAY יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ laid yeh-hoh-SHOO-ah עַל before al אֶ֥בֶן Joshua; EH-ven אַחַ֖ת upon ah-HAHT שִׁבְעָ֣ה one sheev-AH עֵינָ֑יִם stone ay-NA-yeem הִנְנִ֧י shall heen-NEE מְפַתֵּ֣חַ be meh-fa-TAY-ak פִּתֻּחָ֗הּ seven pee-too-HA נְאֻם֙ eyes: neh-OOM יְהוָ֣ה behold, yeh-VA צְבָא֔וֹת I tseh-va-OTE וּמַשְׁתִּ֛י will oo-mahsh-TEE אֶת engrave et עֲוֹ֥ן the uh-ONE הָאָֽרֶץ graving ha-AH-rets הַהִ֖יא thereof, ha-HEE בְּי֥וֹם saith beh-YOME אֶחָֽד׃ the eh-HAHD -
בַּיּ֣וֹם that BA-yome הַה֗וּא day, ha-HOO נְאֻם֙ saith neh-OOM יְהוָ֣ה the yeh-VA צְבָא֔וֹת Lord tseh-va-OTE תִּקְרְא֖וּ of teek-reh-OO אִ֣ישׁ hosts, eesh לְרֵעֵ֑הוּ shall leh-ray-A-hoo אֶל ye el תַּ֥חַת call TA-haht גֶּ֖פֶן every ɡEH-fen וְאֶל man veh-EL תַּ֥חַת his TA-haht תְּאֵנָֽה׃ neighbour teh-ay-NA
