तिनीहरूले यस्तो प्रकारले संख्या गन्ती गरे इस्राएलको प्रथम जाति रूबेन र तिनको परिवारको गणना गरे। बीस र बीस वर्ष भन्दा वेशी उमेरका व्यक्तिहरू जो सेनामा जान सक्थे तिनीहरूको नामको सूची बनाइयो। तिनीहरूको पिता-पुर्खाको कुल र परिवार अनुसार नाम दर्त्ता गरियो।
