पिलातसले मानिसहरूलाई खुशी तुल्याउन चाहन्थे, यसर्थ उनले बारब्बालाई तिनीहरूको निम्ति छोडिदिए। अनि पिलातसले सिपाहीहरूलाई येशूलाई कोर्रा लगाउने हुकून दिय्ए। तब पिलातसले येशूलाइ क्रूसमा टाँग्नका निम्ति सिपाहीहरूको हातमा जिम्मा दिए।
