इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले फलामका हात हतियार बनाउन जान्दैनथे। त्यस समय इस्राएलमा लोहार पाइँदैनथ्यो। पलिश्तीहरूले इस्राएलीहरूलाई फलामको हात हतियार बनाउन सिकाएनन् कारण इस्राएलीहरू आफैंले फलामको हात हतियार बनाए भने पलिश्तीहरूलाई खतरा हुन्छ।
