त्यसदिन यहोशूले मक्केदालाई परास्त गरे। यहोशूले त्यस शहरका राजा र प्रजा सबैलाई मारि दिए। त्यहाँ मानिसहरू कोही जीवित छाडिएन। यहोशूले यरीहोका राजा प्रति जे गरेका थिए त्यस्तै मक्कैदाका राजा प्रति गरे।
