Jeremiah 17:8
त्यो मानिस पानीको छेवमा रोपिएको रूख जस्तै हुनेछ जसले खोल्सा सम्म आफ्नो जराहरू फैलाएको हुन्छ। यसकारण त्यो वृक्ष गरम कालमा डराउदैन। यसका पातहरू खडेरी पर्दा पनि हरियै रहन्छन् अनि यसमा फल फल्नु छोडदैन।

| river, the | שָֽׁרָשָׁ֔יו | šārāšāyw | sha-ra-SHAV |
| and shall not | וְלֹ֤א | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| see | יִרְאֶ֙ | yirʾe | yeer-EH |
| when | כִּֽי | kî | kee |
| heat | יָבֹ֣א | yābōʾ | ya-VOH |
| cometh, | חֹ֔ם | ḥōm | home |
| but her leaf | וְהָיָ֥ה | wĕhāyâ | veh-ha-YA |
| be shall | עָלֵ֖הוּ | ʿālēhû | ah-LAY-hoo |
| green; | רַֽעֲנָ֑ן | raʿănān | ra-uh-NAHN |
| and shall not | וּבִשְׁנַ֤ת | ûbišnat | oo-veesh-NAHT |
| careful be | בַּצֹּ֙רֶת֙ | baṣṣōret | ba-TSOH-RET |
| in the year | לֹ֣א | lōʾ | loh |
| of drought, | יִדְאָ֔ג | yidʾāg | yeed-Aɡ |
| neither | וְלֹ֥א | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| shall cease | יָמִ֖ישׁ | yāmîš | ya-MEESH |
| from yielding | מֵעֲשׂ֥וֹת | mēʿăśôt | may-uh-SOTE |
