Genesis 9:5
अब उसो, यदि कुनै सजीवले एकजना मानिसलाई मार्छ भने, यसले त्यसको लागि आफ्नो जीवन दिनु पर्छ। यदि एकजना मानिसलाई अर्को मानिसले मार्छ भने म उसको जीवन लिनेछु।

| hand the at | מִיַּ֥ד | miyyad | mee-YAHD |
| of every | כָּל | kāl | kahl |
| beast | חַיָּ֖ה | ḥayyâ | ha-YA |
| it, require I will | אֶדְרְשֶׁ֑נּוּ | ʾedrĕšennû | ed-reh-SHEH-noo |
| hand the at and | וּמִיַּ֣ד | ûmiyyad | oo-mee-YAHD |
| of man; | הָֽאָדָ֗ם | hāʾādām | ha-ah-DAHM |
| at the hand | מִיַּד֙ | miyyad | mee-YAHD |
| man's every of | אִ֣ישׁ | ʾîš | eesh |
| brother | אָחִ֔יו | ʾāḥîw | ah-HEEOO |
