Ezekiel 18:20
जुन मानिसले पाप गर्छ, त्यही मानिस मारिन्छ। एउटा छोरो आफ्नो बाबुको पापले दण्डित हुँदैन। अनि अर्को बाबु आफ्नो छोरोको पापको लागि दण्ड पाउँदैन। एउटा धर्मी मानिसको धार्मिकता केवल उसको निजी हुन्छ अनि नराम्रो गरेको फल पनि उसकै मात्र हुन्छ।

| shall the father | לֹ֤א | lōʾ | loh |
| bear | יִשָּׂא֙ | yiśśāʾ | yee-SA |
| iniquity the | בַּעֲוֺ֣ן | baʿăwōn | ba-uh-VONE |
| of the son: | הַבֵּ֔ן | habbēn | ha-BANE |
| righteousness the | צִדְקַ֤ת | ṣidqat | tseed-KAHT |
| of the righteous | הַצַּדִּיק֙ | haṣṣaddîq | ha-tsa-DEEK |
| shall be | עָלָ֣יו | ʿālāyw | ah-LAV |
| upon | תִּֽהְיֶ֔ה | tihĕye | tee-heh-YEH |
| him, and the wickedness | וְרִשְׁעַ֥ת | wĕrišʿat | veh-reesh-AT |
