Deuteronomy 13:2
उसले भने झैं चिन्ह अथवा आश्चर्यजनक काम साँच्चै हुन सक्छ, तिमीहरूले कहिल्यै नजानेको अन्य देवतालाई उसले मान्न लगाउन सक्छ। उसले भन्न सक्छ, ‘हामी यी देवताहरूलाई पूजा गरौं।’

“तिमीहरूका आफ्नै दाज्यू-भाइ, दिदी-बहिनी, छोरा अथवा छोरी, पत्नी संग-सम्बन्धी कसैले गुप्तरूपले तिमीहरूलाई अन्य देवताहरू पूजा गर्न राजी गराउलान्। तिनीहरू भन्न सक्छन्, ‘जाँऊ हामी अन्य देवताहरूलाई पूजा गरौं।’ यी देवताहरूलाई तिमीहरू तथा तिमीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरूले जानेका थिएनन्।
