तर धेरै मानिसहरू अदोनियाहले गरेको कामसँग सहमत थिएनन् उनीहरू दाऊदका नै भक्त थिए। उनीहरू पूजाहारी सादोक, यहोयादाका छोरा बनायाह, नातान अगमवक्ता, शिमी, रेई अनि राजा दाऊदका विशेष अगंरक्षकहरू थिए। यसर्थ यी मानिसहरू अदोनियाहको पक्षमा भएनन्।
