Nehemiah 9:1
എന്നാൽ ഈ മാസം ഇരുപത്തിനാലാം തിയ്യതി യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ഉപവസിച്ചും രട്ടുടുത്തും തലയിൽ പൂഴി വാരിയിട്ടുംകൊണ്ടു കൂടിവന്നു.

| the children | נֶֽאֶסְפ֤וּ | neʾespû | neh-es-FOO |
| Israel of | בְנֵֽי | bĕnê | veh-NAY |
| were assembled | יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ | yiśrāʾēl | yees-ra-ALE |
| with fasting, | בְּצ֣וֹם | bĕṣôm | beh-TSOME |
| sackclothes, with and | וּבְשַׂקִּ֔ים | ûbĕśaqqîm | oo-veh-sa-KEEM |
| and earth | וַֽאֲדָמָ֖ה | waʾădāmâ | va-uh-da-MA |
| upon | עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ | ʿălêhem | uh-lay-HEM |
