Nehemiah 2:1
അർത്ഥഹ് ശഷ്ടാരാജാവിന്റെ ഇരുപതാം ആണ്ടിൽ നീസാൻ മാസത്തിൽ ഞാൻ ഒരിക്കൽ രാജാവിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇരുന്ന വീഞ്ഞു എടുത്തു അവന്നു കൊടുത്തു; ഞാൻ ഇതിന്നു മുമ്പെ ഒരിക്കലും അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ കുണ്ഠിതനായിരുന്നിട്ടില്ല.

| of Artaxerxes | לְאַרְתַּחְשַׁ֥סְתְּא | lĕʾartaḥšastĕʾ | leh-ar-tahk-SHAHS-teh |
| the king, | הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ | hammelek | ha-MEH-lek |
| wine that | יַ֣יִן | yayin | YA-yeen |
| was before | לְפָנָ֑יו | lĕpānāyw | leh-fa-NAV |
| up took I and him: | וָֽאֶשָּׂ֤א | wāʾeśśāʾ | va-eh-SA |
| אֶת | ʾet | et | |
| the wine, | הַיַּ֙יִן֙ | hayyayin | ha-YA-YEEN |
| and gave | וָֽאֶתְּנָ֣ה | wāʾettĕnâ | va-eh-teh-NA |
| king. the unto it | לַמֶּ֔לֶךְ | lammelek | la-MEH-lek |
| Now I had not | וְלֹֽא | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| been | הָיִ֥יתִי | hāyîtî | ha-YEE-tee |
| beforetime sad | רַ֖ע | raʿ | ra |
