സദൃശ്യവാക്യങ്ങൾ 5

1 മകനേ, വകതിരിവിനെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളേണ്ടതിന്നും നിന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ പരിജ്ഞാനത്തെ പാലിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

2 ജ്ഞാനത്തെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു എന്റെ ബോധത്തിന്നു ചെവി ചായിക്ക.

3 പരസ്ത്രീയുടെ അധരങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു തേൻ ഇറ്റിറ്റു വീഴുന്നു; അവളുടെ അണ്ണാക്കു എണ്ണയെക്കാൾ മൃദുവാകുന്നു.

4 പിന്നത്തേതിലോ അവൾ കാഞ്ഞിരംപോലെ കൈപ്പും ഇരുവായ്ത്തലവാൾപോലെ മൂർച്ചയും ഉള്ളവൾ തന്നേ.

5 അവളുടെ കാലുകൾ മരണത്തിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു; അവളുടെ കാലടികൾ പാതാളത്തിലേക്കു ഓടുന്നു.

6 ജീവന്റെ മാർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ അവൾ ചെല്ലാതവണ്ണം അവളുടെ പാതകൾ അസ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൾ അറിയുന്നതുമില്ല.

7 ആകയാൽ മക്കളേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾപ്പിൻ; എന്റെ വായിലെ മൊഴികളെ വിട്ടുമാറരുതു.

8 നിന്റെ വഴിയെ അവളോടു അകറ്റുക; അവളുടെ വീട്ടിന്റെ വാതിലോടു അടുക്കരുതു.

9 നിന്റെ യൌവനശക്തി അന്യന്മാർക്കും നിന്റെ ആണ്ടുകൾ ക്രൂരന്നും കൊടുക്കരുതു.

10 കണ്ടവർ നിന്റെ സമ്പത്തു തിന്നുകളയരുതു. നിന്റെ പ്രയത്നഫലം വല്ലവന്റെയും വീട്ടിൽ ആയ്പോകരുതു.

11 നിന്റെ മാംസവും ദേഹവും ക്ഷയിച്ചിട്ടു നീ ഒടുവിൽ നെടുവീർപ്പിട്ടുകൊണ്ടു:

12 അയ്യോ! ഞാൻ പ്രബോധനം വെറുക്കയും എന്റെ ഹൃദയം ശാസനയെ നിരസിക്കയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.

13 എന്റെ ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാരുടെ വാക്കു ഞാൻ അനുസരിച്ചില്ല; എന്നെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചവർക്കു ഞാൻ ചെവികൊടുത്തില്ല.

14 സഭയുടെയും സംഘത്തിന്റെയും മദ്ധ്യേ ഞാൻ ഏകദേശം സകലദോഷത്തിലും അകപ്പെട്ടുപോയല്ലോ എന്നിങ്ങനെ പറവാൻ സംഗതിവരരുതു.

15 നിന്റെ സ്വന്തജലാശയത്തിലെ തണ്ണീരും സ്വന്തകിണറ്റിൽനിന്നു ഒഴുകുന്ന വെള്ളവും കുടിക്ക.

16 നിന്റെ ഉറവുകൾ വെളിയിലേക്കും നിന്റെ നീരൊഴുക്കുകൾ വീഥിയിലേക്കും ഒഴുകിപ്പോകേണമോ?

17 അവ നിനക്കും അന്യന്മാർക്കും കൂടെയല്ല നിനക്കു മാത്രമേ ഇരിക്കാവു.

18 നിന്റെ ഉറവു അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കട്ടെ; നിന്റെ യൌവനത്തിലെ ഭാര്യയിൽ സന്തോഷിച്ചുകൊൾക.

19 കൌതുകമുള്ള പേടമാനും മനോഹരമായ ഇളമാൻ പേടയും പോലെ അവളുടെ സ്തനങ്ങൾ എല്ലാകാലത്തും നിന്നെ രമിപ്പിക്കട്ടെ; അവളുടെ പ്രേമത്താൽ നീ എല്ലായ്പോഴും മത്തനായിരിക്ക.

20 മകനേ, നീ പരസ്ത്രീയെ കണ്ടു ഭ്രമിക്കുന്നതും അന്യസ്ത്രീയുടെ മാറിടം തഴുകുന്നതും എന്തു?

21 മനുഷ്യന്റെ വഴികൾ യഹോവയുടെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നടപ്പു ഒക്കെയും അവൻ തൂക്കിനോക്കുന്നു.

22 ദുഷ്ടന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾ അവനെ പിടിക്കും; തന്റെ പാപപാശങ്ങളാൽ അവൻ പിടിപെടും.

23 പ്രബോധനം കേൾക്കായ്കയാൽ അവൻ മരിക്കും; മഹാഭോഷത്വത്താൽ അവൻ വഴിതെറ്റിപ്പോകും.

1 My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:

2 That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.

3 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:

4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.

5 Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

6 Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.

7 Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.

8 Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:

9 Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:

10 Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger;

11 And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,

12 And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;

13 And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!

14 I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.

15 Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.

16 Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets.

17 Let them be only thine own, and not strangers’ with thee.

18 Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.

19 Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.

20 And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?

21 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his goings.

22 His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.

23 He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

அவர்கள் என்னைப் பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தினாலே பாவமன்னிப்பையும், பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்குரிய உரிமைப்பங்கையும் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளும்படியாக, அவர்கள் இருளைவிட்டு ஒளியினிடத்திற்கும், சாத்தானுடைய அதிகாரத்தைவிட்டு தேவனிடத்திற்கும் திரும்பும்படிக்கு நீ அவர்களுடைய கண்களைத் திறப்பதற்காக, இப்பொழுது உன்னை அவர்களிடத்திற்கு அனுப்புகிறேன் என்றார்.

உண்மையை இம்மக்களுக்கு நீ காட்டுவாய். அதனால் மக்கள் இருளிலிருந்து ஒளிக்குத் திரும்புவார்கள். சாத்தானின் அதிகாரத்திலிருந்து தேவனிடம் திரும்புவார்கள். மேலும் அவர்களது பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்படும். என்னை நம்புவதால் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்ட மனிதரோடு அவர்களும் பங்குபெற முடியும்’ என்றார்” என்று கூறினான்.
