ഫറവോൻ തന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരോടു: ദൈവാത്മാവുള്ള ഈ മനുഷ്യനെപ്പോലെ ഒരുത്തനെ കണ്ടുകിട്ടുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

ഒടുവിൽ എന്റെ ദേവന്റെ നാമദേധപ്രകാരം ബേൽത്ത് ശസ്സർ എന്നു പേരുള്ളവനും വിശുദ്ധദേവന്മാരുടെ ആത്മാവുള്ളവനുമായ ദാനീയേൽ എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വന്നു; അവനോടു ഞാൻ സ്വപ്നം വിവരിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

എന്നാൽ ദാനീയേൽ ഉൾകൃഷ്ടമാനസനായിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ അദ്ധ്യക്ഷന്മാരിലും പ്രധാനദേശാധിപന്മാരിലും വിശിഷ്ടനായ്വിളങ്ങി; രാജാവു അവനെ സർവ്വരാജ്യത്തിന്നും അധികാരിയാക്കുവാൻ വിചാരിച്ചു.
