ലുബ്ധനായി അവരിൽ ആർക്കും താൻ തിന്നുന്ന തന്റെ മക്കളുടെ മാംസത്തിൽ ഒട്ടും കൊടുക്കയില്ല; ശത്രു നിന്റെ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങളിലും നിന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഞെരുക്കത്തിലും നിരോധത്തിലും അവന്നു ഒന്നും ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കയില്ല.

| he shall eat: | אֲשֶׁ֣ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| because | יֹאכֵ֔ל | yōʾkēl | yoh-HALE |
| nothing hath he | מִבְּלִ֥י | mibbĕlî | mee-beh-LEE |
| left | הִשְׁאִֽיר | hišʾîr | heesh-EER |
| siege, the in him | ל֖וֹ | lô | loh |
| and in the straitness, | כֹּ֑ל | kōl | kole |
| wherewith | בְּמָצוֹר֙ | bĕmāṣôr | beh-ma-TSORE |
| thine enemies | וּבְמָצ֔וֹק | ûbĕmāṣôq | oo-veh-ma-TSOKE |
| shall distress | אֲשֶׁ֨ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| thee in all | יָצִ֥יק | yāṣîq | ya-TSEEK |
| thy gates. | לְךָ֛ | lĕkā | leh-HA |
| אֹֽיִבְךָ֖ | ʾōyibkā | oh-yeev-HA | |
| בְּכָל | bĕkāl | beh-HAHL | |
| שְׁעָרֶֽיךָ׃ | šĕʿārêkā | sheh-ah-RAY-ha |
