അവൻ പത്തു തൊട്ടിയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; കഴുകുന്ന ആവശ്യത്തിലേക്കു അഞ്ചു വലത്തുഭാഗത്തും അഞ്ചു ഇടത്തുഭാഗത്തും വെച്ചു. ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്നുള്ള സാധനങ്ങളെ അവർ അവയിൽ കഴുകും; കടലോ പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കു കഴുകുവാനുള്ളതായിരുന്നു.
