ശമൂവേൽ-1 28:23
അതിന്നു അവൻ: വേണ്ടാ, ഞാൻ തിന്നുകയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരും ആ സ്ത്രീയും അവനെ നിർബന്ധിച്ചു; അവൻ അവരുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു നിലത്തുനിന്നു എഴുന്നേറ്റു മെത്തമേൽ ഇരുന്നു.

| and said, | וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ | wayyōʾmer | va-YOH-MER |
| not will I | לֹ֣א | lōʾ | loh |
| eat. | אֹכַ֔ל | ʾōkal | oh-HAHL |
| servants, his But | וַיִּפְרְצוּ | wayyiprĕṣû | va-yeef-reh-TSOO |
| together with | ב֤וֹ | bô | voh |
| the woman, | עֲבָדָיו֙ | ʿăbādāyw | uh-va-dav |
| compelled | וְגַם | wĕgam | veh-ɡAHM |
| hearkened he and him; | הָ֣אִשָּׁ֔ה | hāʾiššâ | HA-ee-SHA |
| unto their voice. | וַיִּשְׁמַ֖ע | wayyišmaʿ | va-yeesh-MA |
| So he arose | לְקֹלָ֑ם | lĕqōlām | leh-koh-LAHM |
| earth, the from | וַיָּ֙קָם֙ | wayyāqām | va-YA-KAHM |
| and sat | מֵֽהָאָ֔רֶץ | mēhāʾāreṣ | may-ha-AH-rets |
| upon | וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב | wayyēšeb | va-YAY-shev |
| the bed. | אֶל | ʾel | el |
| הַמִּטָּֽה׃ | hammiṭṭâ | ha-mee-TA |
