ശൌലിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ ആ വാക്കു ദാവീദിനോടു പറഞ്ഞാറെ ദാവീദ്: രാജാവിന്റെ മരുമകനാകുന്നതു അല്പകാര്യമെന്നു നിങ്ങൾക്കു തോന്നുന്നുവോ? ഞാൻ ദരിദ്രനും എളിയവനും ആകുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
