ഒരു ആണ്ടു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഹന്നാ ഗർഭംധരിച്ചു ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു; ഞാൻ അവനെ യഹോവയോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചുവാങ്ങി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവന്നു ശമൂവേൽ എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.
