Judges 19:17
വൃദ്ധൻ തലയുയർത്തി നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ നഗരവീഥിയിൽ വഴിയാത്രക്കാരനെ കണ്ടു: നീ എവിടെനിന്നു വരുന്നു? എവിടേക്കു പോകുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

| man | הָֽאֹרֵ֖חַ | hāʾōrēaḥ | ha-oh-RAY-ak |
| street the in | בִּרְחֹ֣ב | birḥōb | beer-HOVE |
| of the city: | הָעִ֑יר | hāʿîr | ha-EER |
| and the old | וַיֹּ֨אמֶר | wayyōʾmer | va-YOH-mer |
| man | הָאִ֧ישׁ | hāʾîš | ha-EESH |
| said, | הַזָּקֵ֛ן | hazzāqēn | ha-za-KANE |
| Whither | אָ֥נָה | ʾānâ | AH-na |
| goest | תֵלֵ֖ךְ | tēlēk | tay-LAKE |
| thou? and whence | וּמֵאַ֥יִן | ûmēʾayin | oo-may-AH-yeen |
