Joshua 9:6
അവർ ഗില്ഗാലിൽ പാളയത്തിലേക്കു യോശുവയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു അവനോടും യിസ്രായേൽപുരഷന്മാരോടും: ഞങ്ങൾ ദൂരദേശത്തുനിന്നു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ആകയാൽ ഞങ്ങളോടു ഒരു ഉടമ്പടി ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

| Gilgal, at | הַגִּלְגָּ֑ל | haggilgāl | ha-ɡeel-ɡAHL |
| and said | וַיֹּֽאמְר֨וּ | wayyōʾmĕrû | va-yoh-meh-ROO |
| unto | אֵלָ֜יו | ʾēlāyw | ay-LAV |
| him, and to | וְאֶל | wĕʾel | veh-EL |
| men the | אִ֣ישׁ | ʾîš | eesh |
| of Israel, | יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל | yiśrāʾēl | yees-ra-ALE |
| We be come | מֵאֶ֤רֶץ | mēʾereṣ | may-EH-rets |
| from a far | רְחוֹקָה֙ | rĕḥôqāh | reh-hoh-KA |
| country: | בָּ֔אנוּ | bāʾnû | BA-noo |
| now | וְעַתָּ֖ה | wĕʿattâ | veh-ah-TA |
| therefore make | כִּרְתוּ | kirtû | keer-TOO |
| ye a league | לָ֥נוּ | lānû | LA-noo |
| with us. | בְרִֽית׃ | bĕrît | veh-REET |
