എന്നാൽ മനശ്ശെയുടെ മക്കൾക്കു ആ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലെ നിവാസികളെ നീക്കിക്കളവാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; കനാന്യർക്കു ആ ദേശത്തിൽ തന്നേ പാർപ്പാനുള്ള താല്പര്യം സാധിച്ചു.
