യോസേഫിന്റെ മക്കൾ മനശ്ശെ, എഫ്രയീം എന്നു രണ്ടു ഗോത്രം ആയിരുന്നു. ലേവ്യർക്കു പാർപ്പാൻ പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലികൾക്കും മൃഗസമ്പത്തിന്നും വേണ്ടി പുല്പുറങ്ങളും അല്ലാതെ ദേശത്തിൽ ഓഹരിയൊന്നും കൊടുത്തില്ല.
