സാരെഥാന്നു സമീപത്തുള്ള ആദാംപട്ടണത്തിന്നരികെ ബഹുദൂരത്തോളം ചിറപോലെ പൊങ്ങി; അരാബയിലെ കടലായ ഉപ്പുകടലിലേക്കു ഒഴുകിയ വെള്ളം വാർന്നുപോയി; ജനം യെരീഹോവിന്നു നേരെ മറുകര കടന്നു.

That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.
