Genesis 50:17
ആകയാൽ അപ്പന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെ ദ്രോഹം ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറയിച്ചു. അവർ യോസേഫിനോടു സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ കരഞ്ഞു.

| brethren, thy of | אַחֶ֤יךָ | ʾaḥêkā | ah-HAY-ha |
| and their sin; | וְחַטָּאתָם֙ | wĕḥaṭṭāʾtām | veh-ha-ta-TAHM |
| for | כִּֽי | kî | kee |
| did they | רָעָ֣ה | rāʿâ | ra-AH |
| unto thee evil: | גְמָל֔וּךָ | gĕmālûkā | ɡeh-ma-LOO-ha |
| now, and | וְעַתָּה֙ | wĕʿattāh | veh-ah-TA |
| we pray thee, | שָׂ֣א | śāʾ | sa |
| forgive | נָ֔א | nāʾ | na |
| trespass the | לְפֶ֥שַׁע | lĕpešaʿ | leh-FEH-sha |
| of the servants | עַבְדֵ֖י | ʿabdê | av-DAY |
| God the of | אֱלֹהֵ֣י | ʾĕlōhê | ay-loh-HAY |
