Ezekiel 8:16
അവൻ എന്നെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകത്തെ പ്രാകാരത്തിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി, യഹോവയുടെ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ വാതിൽക്കൽ മണ്ഡപത്തിന്നും യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നും നടുവെ ഏകദേശം ഇരുപത്തഞ്ചു പുരുഷന്മാർ തങ്ങളുടെ മുതുകു യഹോവയുടെ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ നേരെയും മുഖം കിഴക്കോട്ടും തിരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിന്നിരുന്നു; അവർ കിഴക്കോട്ടു നോക്കി സൂര്യനെ നമസ്കരിക്കയായിരുന്നു.

| of the Lord, | הֵיכַ֣ל | hêkal | hay-HAHL |

| the porch | בֵּ֤ין | bên | bane |
| and the altar, | הָֽאוּלָם֙ | hāʾûlām | ha-oo-LAHM |
| five about were | וּבֵ֣ין | ûbên | oo-VANE |
| and twenty | הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ | hammizbēaḥ | ha-meez-BAY-ak |
| men, | כְּעֶשְׂרִ֥ים | kĕʿeśrîm | keh-es-REEM |
| with their backs | וַחֲמִשָּׁ֖ה | waḥămiššâ | va-huh-mee-SHA |
| toward | אִ֑ישׁ | ʾîš | eesh |
| the temple | אֲחֹ֨רֵיהֶ֜ם | ʾăḥōrêhem | uh-HOH-ray-HEM |
| of the Lord, | אֶל | ʾel | el |
| faces their and | הֵיכַ֤ל | hêkal | hay-HAHL |
| toward the east; | יְהוָה֙ | yĕhwāh | yeh-VA |
| and they | וּפְנֵיהֶ֣ם | ûpĕnêhem | oo-feh-nay-HEM |
| worshipped | קֵ֔דְמָה | qēdĕmâ | KAY-deh-ma |
| the sun | וְהֵ֛מָּה | wĕhēmmâ | veh-HAY-ma |
