യോശീയാവിന്റെ മകനായി യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോയാക്കീമിന്റെ നാലാം ആണ്ടിൽ യഹോവയിങ്കൽനിന്നു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടാവിതു:

യെഹോയാക്കീം വാഴ്ച തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന്നു ഇരുപത്തഞ്ചു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ ഏഴു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു; അവൻ തന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു.
