മിസ്രയീമിൽ എന്നപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ മഹാമാരി നിങ്ങളടെ ഇടയിൽ അയച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ യൌവനക്കാരെ വാൾകൊണ്ടു കൊന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ കുതിരകളെ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി; നിങ്ങളുടെ പാളയങ്ങളിലെ നാറ്റം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മൂക്കിൽ കയറുമാറാക്കി; എന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ എങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
