וַֽיהוָ֛ה the vai-VA פָּקַ֥ד Lord pa-KAHD אֶת visited et שָׂרָ֖ה sa-RA כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֣ר Sarah ka-uh-SHER אָמָ֑ר as ah-MAHR וַיַּ֧עַשׂ he va-YA-as יְהוָ֛ה had yeh-VA לְשָׂרָ֖ה said, leh-sa-RA כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר and ka-uh-SHER דִּבֵּֽר׃ the dee-BARE -
וַתַּהַר֩ Sarah va-ta-HAHR וַתֵּ֨לֶד conceived, va-TAY-led שָׂרָ֧ה and sa-RA לְאַבְרָהָ֛ם bare leh-av-ra-HAHM בֵּ֖ן Abraham bane לִזְקֻנָ֑יו a leez-koo-NAV לַמּוֹעֵ֕ד son la-moh-ADE אֲשֶׁר in uh-SHER דִּבֶּ֥ר his dee-BER אֹת֖וֹ old oh-TOH אֱלֹהִֽים׃ age, ay-loh-HEEM -
וַיִּקְרָ֨א Abraham va-yeek-RA אַבְרָהָ֜ם called av-ra-HAHM אֶֽת et שֶׁם the shem בְּנ֧וֹ name beh-NOH הַנּֽוֹלַד of ha-noh-lahd ל֛וֹ his loh אֲשֶׁר son uh-SHER יָֽלְדָה that YA-leh-da לּ֥וֹ was loh שָׂרָ֖ה born sa-RA יִצְחָֽק׃ unto yeets-HAHK -
וַיָּ֤מָל Abraham va-YA-mole אַבְרָהָם֙ circumcised av-ra-HAHM אֶת his et יִצְחָ֣ק son yeets-HAHK בְּנ֔וֹ Isaac beh-NOH בֶּן being ben שְׁמֹנַ֖ת eight sheh-moh-NAHT יָמִ֑ים days ya-MEEM כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֛ר old, ka-uh-SHER צִוָּ֥ה as tsee-WA אֹת֖וֹ God oh-TOH אֱלֹהִֽים׃ had ay-loh-HEEM -
וְאַבְרָהָ֖ם Abraham veh-av-ra-HAHM בֶּן was ben מְאַ֣ת an meh-AT שָׁנָ֑ה hundred sha-NA בְּהִוָּ֣לֶד years beh-hee-WA-led ל֔וֹ old, loh אֵ֖ת when ate יִצְחָ֥ק yeets-HAHK בְּנֽוֹ׃ his beh-NOH -
וַתֹּ֣אמֶר Sarah va-TOH-mer שָׂרָ֔ה said, sa-RA צְחֹ֕ק God tseh-HOKE עָ֥שָׂה hath AH-sa לִ֖י made lee אֱלֹהִ֑ים me ay-loh-HEEM כָּל to kahl הַשֹּׁמֵ֖עַ laugh, ha-shoh-MAY-ah יִֽצְחַק so YEE-tseh-hahk לִֽי׃ that lee -
וַתֹּ֗אמֶר she va-TOH-mer מִ֤י said, mee מִלֵּל֙ Who mee-LALE לְאַבְרָהָ֔ם would leh-av-ra-HAHM הֵינִ֥יקָה have hay-NEE-ka בָנִ֖ים said va-NEEM שָׂרָ֑ה unto sa-RA כִּֽי Abraham, kee יָלַ֥דְתִּי that ya-LAHD-tee בֵ֖ן Sarah vane לִזְקֻנָֽיו׃ should leez-koo-NAIV -
וַיִּגְדַּ֥ל the va-yeeɡ-DAHL הַיֶּ֖לֶד child ha-YEH-led וַיִּגָּמַ֑ל grew, va-yee-ɡa-MAHL וַיַּ֤עַשׂ and va-YA-as אַבְרָהָם֙ was av-ra-HAHM מִשְׁתֶּ֣ה weaned: meesh-TEH גָד֔וֹל and ɡa-DOLE בְּי֖וֹם Abraham beh-YOME הִגָּמֵ֥ל made hee-ɡa-MALE אֶת a et יִצְחָֽק׃ great yeets-HAHK -
וַתֵּ֨רֶא Sarah va-TAY-reh שָׂרָ֜ה saw sa-RA אֶֽת et בֶּן the ben הָגָ֧ר son ha-ɡAHR הַמִּצְרִ֛ית of ha-meets-REET אֲשֶׁר Hagar uh-SHER יָֽלְדָ֥ה the ya-leh-DA לְאַבְרָהָ֖ם Egyptian, leh-av-ra-HAHM מְצַחֵֽק׃ which meh-tsa-HAKE -
וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ she va-TOH-MER לְאַבְרָהָ֔ם said leh-av-ra-HAHM גָּרֵ֛שׁ unto ɡa-RAYSH הָֽאָמָ֥ה Abraham, ha-ah-MA הַזֹּ֖את Cast ha-ZOTE וְאֶת out veh-ET בְּנָ֑הּ this beh-NA כִּ֣י bondwoman kee לֹ֤א and loh יִירַשׁ֙ her yee-RAHSH בֶּן son: ben הָֽאָמָ֣ה for ha-ah-MA הַזֹּ֔את the ha-ZOTE עִם son eem בְּנִ֖י of beh-NEE עִם this eem יִצְחָֽק׃ bondwoman yeets-HAHK -
וַיֵּ֧רַע the va-YAY-ra הַדָּבָ֛ר thing ha-da-VAHR מְאֹ֖ד was meh-ODE בְּעֵינֵ֣י very beh-ay-NAY אַבְרָהָ֑ם grievous av-ra-HAHM עַ֖ל al אוֹדֹ֥ת in oh-DOTE בְּנֽוֹ׃ Abraham's beh-NOH -
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר God va-YOH-mer אֱלֹהִ֜ים said ay-loh-HEEM אֶל unto el אַבְרָהָ֗ם Abraham, av-ra-HAHM אַל Let al יֵרַ֤ע it yay-RA בְּעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ not beh-ay-NAY-HA עַל be al הַנַּ֣עַר grievous ha-NA-ar וְעַל in veh-AL אֲמָתֶ֔ךָ thy uh-ma-TEH-ha כֹּל֩ sight kole אֲשֶׁ֨ר because uh-SHER תֹּאמַ֥ר of toh-MAHR אֵלֶ֛יךָ the ay-LAY-ha שָׂרָ֖ה lad, sa-RA שְׁמַ֣ע and sheh-MA בְּקֹלָ֑הּ because beh-koh-LA כִּ֣י of kee בְיִצְחָ֔ק thy veh-yeets-HAHK יִקָּרֵ֥א bondwoman; yee-ka-RAY לְךָ֖ in leh-HA זָֽרַע׃ all ZA-ra -
וְגַ֥ם also veh-ɡAHM אֶת et בֶּן of ben הָֽאָמָ֖ה the ha-ah-MA לְג֣וֹי son leh-ɡOY אֲשִׂימֶ֑נּוּ of uh-see-MEH-noo כִּ֥י the kee זַרְעֲךָ֖ bondwoman zahr-uh-HA הֽוּא׃ will hoo -
וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֣ם Abraham va-yahsh-KAME אַבְרָהָ֣ם׀ rose av-ra-HAHM בַּבֹּ֡קֶר up ba-BOH-ker וַיִּֽקַּֽח early va-YEE-KAHK לֶחֶם֩ in leh-HEM וְחֵ֨מַת the veh-HAY-maht מַ֜יִם morning, MA-yeem וַיִּתֵּ֣ן and va-yee-TANE אֶל took el הָ֠גָר bread, HA-ɡore שָׂ֧ם and sahm עַל a al שִׁכְמָ֛הּ bottle sheek-MA וְאֶת of veh-ET הַיֶּ֖לֶד water, ha-YEH-led וַֽיְשַׁלְּחֶ֑הָ and va-sha-leh-HEH-ha וַתֵּ֣לֶךְ gave va-TAY-lek וַתֵּ֔תַע it va-TAY-ta בְּמִדְבַּ֖ר unto beh-meed-BAHR בְּאֵ֥ר Hagar, beh-ARE שָֽׁבַע׃ putting SHA-va -
וַיִּכְל֥וּ the va-yeek-LOO הַמַּ֖יִם water ha-MA-yeem מִן was meen הַחֵ֑מֶת spent ha-HAY-met וַתַּשְׁלֵ֣ךְ in va-tahsh-LAKE אֶת the et הַיֶּ֔לֶד bottle, ha-YEH-led תַּ֖חַת and TA-haht אַחַ֥ד she ah-HAHD הַשִּׂיחִֽם׃ cast ha-see-HEEM -
וַתֵּלֶךְ֩ she va-tay-lek וַתֵּ֨שֶׁב went, va-TAY-shev לָ֜הּ and la מִנֶּ֗גֶד sat mee-NEH-ɡed הַרְחֵק֙ her hahr-HAKE כִּמְטַֽחֲוֵ֣י down keem-ta-huh-VAY קֶ֔שֶׁת over KEH-shet כִּ֣י against kee אָֽמְרָ֔ה him ah-meh-RA אַל a al אֶרְאֶ֖ה good er-EH בְּמ֣וֹת way beh-MOTE הַיָּ֑לֶד off, ha-YA-led וַתֵּ֣שֶׁב as va-TAY-shev מִנֶּ֔גֶד it mee-NEH-ɡed וַתִּשָּׂ֥א were va-tee-SA אֶת a et קֹלָ֖הּ bowshot: koh-LA וַתֵּֽבְךְּ׃ va-TAY-vek -
וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע God va-yeesh-MA אֱלֹהִים֮ heard ay-loh-HEEM אֶת et ק֣וֹל the kole הַנַּעַר֒ voice ha-na-AR וַיִּקְרָא֩ of va-yeek-RA מַלְאַ֨ךְ the mahl-AK אֱלֹהִ֤ים׀ lad; ay-loh-HEEM אֶל and el הָגָר֙ the ha-ɡAHR מִן angel meen הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם of ha-sha-MA-yeem וַיֹּ֥אמֶר God va-YOH-mer לָ֖הּ called la מַה to ma לָּ֣ךְ Hagar lahk הָגָ֑ר out ha-ɡAHR אַל of al תִּ֣ירְאִ֔י heaven, TEE-reh-EE כִּֽי and kee שָׁמַ֧ע said sha-MA אֱלֹהִ֛ים unto ay-loh-HEEM אֶל her, el ק֥וֹל What kole הַנַּ֖עַר aileth ha-NA-ar בַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר thee, ba-uh-SHER הוּא Hagar? hoo שָֽׁם׃ fear shahm -
ק֚וּמִי lift KOO-mee שְׂאִ֣י up seh-EE אֶת et הַנַּ֔עַר the ha-NA-ar וְהַֽחֲזִ֥יקִי lad, veh-ha-huh-ZEE-kee אֶת and et יָדֵ֖ךְ hold ya-DAKE בּ֑וֹ him boh כִּֽי in kee לְג֥וֹי thine leh-ɡOY גָּד֖וֹל hand; ɡa-DOLE אֲשִׂימֶֽנּוּ׃ for uh-see-MEH-noo -
וַיִּפְקַ֤ח God va-yeef-KAHK אֱלֹהִים֙ opened ay-loh-HEEM אֶת et עֵינֶ֔יהָ her ay-NAY-ha וַתֵּ֖רֶא eyes, va-TAY-reh בְּאֵ֣ר and beh-ARE מָ֑יִם she MA-yeem וַתֵּ֜לֶךְ saw va-TAY-lek וַתְּמַלֵּ֤א a va-teh-ma-LAY אֶת well et הַחֵ֙מֶת֙ of ha-HAY-MET מַ֔יִם water; MA-yeem וַתַּ֖שְׁקְ and va-TA-shek אֶת she et הַנָּֽעַר׃ went, ha-NA-ar -
וַיְהִ֧י God vai-HEE אֱלֹהִ֛ים was ay-loh-HEEM אֶת with et הַנַּ֖עַר the ha-NA-ar וַיִּגְדָּ֑ל lad; va-yeeɡ-DAHL וַיֵּ֙שֶׁב֙ and va-YAY-SHEV בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר he ba-meed-BAHR וַיְהִ֖י grew, vai-HEE רֹבֶ֥ה and roh-VEH קַשָּֽׁת׃ dwelt ka-SHAHT -
וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב he va-YAY-shev בְּמִדְבַּ֣ר dwelt beh-meed-BAHR פָּארָ֑ן in pa-RAHN וַתִּֽקַּֽח the va-TEE-KAHK ל֥וֹ wilderness loh אִמּ֛וֹ of EE-moh אִשָּׁ֖ה Paran: ee-SHA מֵאֶ֥רֶץ and may-EH-rets מִצְרָֽיִם׃ his meets-RA-yeem -
וַֽיְהִי֙ it va-HEE בָּעֵ֣ת came ba-ATE הַהִ֔וא to ha-HEEV וַיֹּ֣אמֶר pass va-YOH-mer אֲבִימֶ֗לֶךְ at uh-vee-MEH-lek וּפִיכֹל֙ that oo-fee-HOLE שַׂר time, sahr צְבָא֔וֹ that tseh-va-OH אֶל Abimelech el אַבְרָהָ֖ם and av-ra-HAHM לֵאמֹ֑ר Phichol lay-MORE אֱלֹהִ֣ים the ay-loh-HEEM עִמְּךָ֔ chief ee-meh-HA בְּכֹ֥ל captain beh-HOLE אֲשֶׁר of uh-SHER אַתָּ֖ה his ah-TA עֹשֶֽׂה׃ host oh-SEH -
וְעַתָּ֗ה therefore veh-ah-TA הִשָּׁ֨בְעָה swear hee-SHA-veh-ah לִּ֤י unto lee בֵֽאלֹהִים֙ me vay-loh-HEEM הֵ֔נָּה here HAY-na אִם by eem תִּשְׁקֹ֣ר God teesh-KORE לִ֔י that lee וּלְנִינִ֖י thou oo-leh-nee-NEE וּלְנֶכְדִּ֑י wilt oo-leh-nek-DEE כַּחֶ֜סֶד not ka-HEH-sed אֲשֶׁר deal uh-SHER עָשִׂ֤יתִי falsely ah-SEE-tee עִמְּךָ֙ with ee-meh-HA תַּֽעֲשֶׂ֣ה me, ta-uh-SEH עִמָּדִ֔י nor ee-ma-DEE וְעִם with veh-EEM הָאָ֖רֶץ my ha-AH-rets אֲשֶׁר son, uh-SHER גַּ֥רְתָּה nor ɡAHR-ta בָּֽהּ׃ with ba -
וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ Abraham va-YOH-MER אַבְרָהָ֔ם said, av-ra-HAHM אָֽנֹכִ֖י I ah-noh-HEE אִשָּׁבֵֽעַ׃ will ee-sha-VAY-ah -
וְהוֹכִ֥חַ Abraham veh-hoh-HEE-ak אַבְרָהָ֖ם reproved av-ra-HAHM אֶת et אֲבִימֶ֑לֶךְ Abimelech uh-vee-MEH-lek עַל because al אֹדוֹת֙ of oh-DOTE בְּאֵ֣ר beh-ARE הַמַּ֔יִם a ha-MA-yeem אֲשֶׁ֥ר well uh-SHER גָּֽזְל֖וּ of ɡa-zeh-LOO עַבְדֵ֥י water, av-DAY אֲבִימֶֽלֶךְ׃ which uh-vee-MEH-lek -
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר Abimelech va-YOH-mer אֲבִימֶ֔לֶךְ said, uh-vee-MEH-lek לֹ֣א I loh יָדַ֔עְתִּי wot ya-DA-tee מִ֥י not mee עָשָׂ֖ה who ah-SA אֶת hath et הַדָּבָ֣ר done ha-da-VAHR הַזֶּ֑ה ha-ZEH וְגַם this veh-ɡAHM אַתָּ֞ה thing: ah-TA לֹֽא neither loh הִגַּ֣דְתָּ didst hee-ɡAHD-ta לִּ֗י thou lee וְגַ֧ם tell veh-ɡAHM אָֽנֹכִ֛י me, ah-noh-HEE לֹ֥א neither loh שָׁמַ֖עְתִּי yet sha-MA-tee בִּלְתִּ֥י heard beel-TEE הַיּֽוֹם׃ I ha-yome -
וַיִּקַּ֤ח Abraham va-yee-KAHK אַבְרָהָם֙ took av-ra-HAHM צֹ֣אן sheep tsone וּבָקָ֔ר and oo-va-KAHR וַיִּתֵּ֖ן oxen, va-yee-TANE לַֽאֲבִימֶ֑לֶךְ and la-uh-vee-MEH-lek וַיִּכְרְת֥וּ gave va-yeek-reh-TOO שְׁנֵיהֶ֖ם them sheh-nay-HEM בְּרִֽית׃ unto beh-REET -
וַיַּצֵּ֣ב Abraham va-ya-TSAVE אַבְרָהָ֗ם set av-ra-HAHM אֶת et שֶׁ֛בַע seven SHEH-va כִּבְשֹׂ֥ת ewe keev-SOTE הַצֹּ֖אן lambs ha-TSONE לְבַדְּהֶֽן׃ of leh-va-deh-HEN -
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר Abimelech va-YOH-mer אֲבִימֶ֖לֶךְ said uh-vee-MEH-lek אֶל unto el אַבְרָהָ֑ם Abraham, av-ra-HAHM מָ֣ה What ma הֵ֗נָּה mean HAY-na שֶׁ֤בַע these SHEH-va כְּבָשֹׂת֙ seven keh-va-SOTE הָאֵ֔לֶּה ewe ha-A-leh אֲשֶׁ֥ר lambs uh-SHER הִצַּ֖בְתָּ which hee-TSAHV-ta לְבַדָּֽנָה׃ thou leh-va-DA-na -
וַיֹּ֕אמֶר he va-YOH-mer כִּ֚י said, kee אֶת For et שֶׁ֣בַע these SHEH-va כְּבָשֹׂ֔ת keh-va-SOTE תִּקַּ֖ח seven tee-KAHK מִיָּדִ֑י ewe mee-ya-DEE בַּֽעֲבוּר֙ lambs ba-uh-VOOR תִּֽהְיֶה shalt TEE-heh-yeh לִּ֣י thou lee לְעֵדָ֔ה take leh-ay-DA כִּ֥י of kee חָפַ֖רְתִּי my ha-FAHR-tee אֶת hand, et הַבְּאֵ֥ר that ha-beh-ARE הַזֹּֽאת׃ they ha-ZOTE -
עַל al כֵּ֗ן he kane קָרָ֛א called ka-RA לַמָּק֥וֹם that la-ma-KOME הַה֖וּא place ha-HOO בְּאֵ֣ר Beer-sheba; beh-ARE שָׁ֑בַע because SHA-va כִּ֛י there kee שָׁ֥ם they shahm נִשְׁבְּע֖וּ sware neesh-beh-OO שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃ both sheh-nay-HEM -
וַיִּכְרְת֥וּ they va-yeek-reh-TOO בְרִ֖ית made veh-REET בִּבְאֵ֣ר a beev-ARE שָׁ֑בַע covenant SHA-va וַיָּ֣קָם at va-YA-kome אֲבִימֶ֗לֶךְ Beer-sheba: uh-vee-MEH-lek וּפִיכֹל֙ then oo-fee-HOLE שַׂר Abimelech sahr צְבָא֔וֹ rose tseh-va-OH וַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּ up, va-ya-SHOO-voo אֶל and el אֶ֥רֶץ Phichol EH-rets פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃ the peh-leesh-TEEM -
וַיִּטַּ֥ע Abraham va-yee-TA אֶ֖שֶׁל planted EH-shel בִּבְאֵ֣ר a beev-ARE שָׁ֑בַע grove SHA-va וַיִּ֨קְרָא in va-YEEK-ra שָׁ֔ם Beer-sheba, shahm בְּשֵׁ֥ם and beh-SHAME יְהוָ֖ה called yeh-VA אֵ֥ל there ale עוֹלָֽם׃ on oh-LAHM -
וַיָּ֧גָר Abraham va-YA-ɡore אַבְרָהָ֛ם sojourned av-ra-HAHM בְּאֶ֥רֶץ in beh-EH-rets פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים the peh-leesh-TEEM יָמִ֥ים Philistines' ya-MEEM רַבִּֽים׃ land ra-BEEM
