2 Kings 11:18
പിന്നെ ദേശത്തെ ജനമൊക്കെയും ബാൽക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ചെന്നു അതു ഇടിച്ചു അവന്റെ ബലിപീഠങ്ങളും വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളും അശേഷം ഉടെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; ബാലിന്റെ പുരോഹിതനായ മത്ഥാനെ ബിലപീഠങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിൽവെച്ചു കൊന്നു കളഞ്ഞു. പുരോഹിതൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ കാര്യവിചാരകന്മാരെയും നിയമിച്ചു.

| and slew | שִׁבְּר֣וּ | šibbĕrû | shee-beh-ROO |
| הֵיטֵ֔ב | hêṭēb | hay-TAVE | |
| Mattan | וְאֵ֗ת | wĕʾēt | veh-ATE |
| the priest | מַתָּן֙ | mattān | ma-TAHN |
| of Baal | כֹּהֵ֣ן | kōhēn | koh-HANE |
| before | הַבַּ֔עַל | habbaʿal | ha-BA-al |
| altars. the | הָֽרְג֖וּ | hārĕgû | ha-reh-ɡOO |
| And the priest | לִפְנֵ֣י | lipnê | leef-NAY |
