2 Chronicles 22 in Malayalam

1 യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികൾ അവന്റെ ഇളയമകനായ അഹസ്യാവെ അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവാക്കി; അരബികളോടുകൂടെ പാളയത്തിൽ വന്ന പടക്കൂട്ടം മൂത്തവരെ ഒക്കെയും കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോരാമിന്റെ മകൻ അഹസ്യാവു രാജാവായി.

2 അഹസ്യാവു വാഴ്ചതുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന്നു നാല്പത്തിരണ്ടു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ ഒരു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു; അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു അഥല്യാ എന്നു പേർ; അവൾ ഒമ്രിയുടെ മകളായിരുന്നു.

3 അവനും ആഹാബ്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ വഴികളിൽ നടന്നു; ദുഷ്ടത പ്രവർത്തിപ്പാൻ അവന്റെ അമ്മ അവന്നു ആലോചനക്കാരത്തി ആയിരുന്നു.

4 അതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ ആഹാബ്ഗൃഹത്തെപ്പോലെ യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു; അവർ അവന്റെ അപ്പൻ മരിച്ചശേഷം അവന്റെ നാശത്തിന്നായി അവന്റെ ആലോചനക്കാരായിരുന്നു.

5 അവരുടെ ആലോചനപോലെ അവൻ നടന്നു; യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ ആഹാബിന്റെ മകൻ യോരാമിനോടുകൂടെ അവൻ ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിൽ അരാംരാജാവായ ഹസായേലിനോടു യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പോയി; എന്നാൽ അരാമ്യർ യോരാമിനെ മുറിവേല്പിച്ചു.

6 അരാംരാജാവായ ഹസായേലിനോടുള്ള യുദ്ധത്തിൽ രാമയിൽവെച്ചു ഏറ്റ മുറിവുകൾക്കു ചികിത്സ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ യിസ്രെയേലിൽ മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി; യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോരാമിന്റെ മകൻ അസർയ്യാവു ആഹാബിന്റെ മകനായ യോരാം ദീനമായി കിടക്കുകയാൽ അവനെ കാണ്മാൻ യിസ്രെയേലിൽ ചെന്നു.

7 യോരാമിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നതു അഹസ്യാവിന്നു ദൈവഹിതത്താൽ നാശഹേതുവായി ഭവിച്ചു; അവൻ ചെന്ന സമയം ആഹാബ്ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു നിർമ്മൂലനാശം വരുത്തുവാൻ യഹോവ അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തവനായി നിംശിയുടെ മകനായ യേഹൂവിന്റെ നേരെ അവൻ യെഹോരാമിനോടു കൂടെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

8 യേഹൂ ആഹാബ്ഗൃഹത്തോടു ന്യായവിധി നടത്തുകയിൽ അവൻ യെഹൂദാപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും അഹസ്യാവിന്നു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യുന്നവരായ അഹസ്യാവിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും കണ്ടു അവരെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

9 പിന്നെ അവൻ അഹസ്യാവെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു; അവൻ ശമർയ്യയിൽ ഒളിച്ചിരിക്കയായിരുന്നു; അവർ അവനെ പിടിച്ചു യേഹൂവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു കൊന്നു; പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിച്ച യെഹോശാഫാത്തിന്റെ മകനല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവർ അവനെ അടക്കംചെയ്തു. ഇങ്ങനെ അഹസ്യാവിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിൽ ആർക്കും രാജത്വം വഹിപ്പാൻ ശക്തിയില്ലാതെയിരുന്നു.

10 അഹസ്യാവിന്റെ അമ്മയായ അഥല്യാ തന്റെ മകൻ മരിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടു എഴുന്നേറ്റു യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തിലെ രാജസന്തതിയെ ഒക്കെയും നശിപ്പിച്ചു.

11 എന്നാൽ രാജകുമാരിയായ യെഹോശബത്ത് കൊല്ലപ്പെടുന്ന രാജകുമാരന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്നു അഹസ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ യോവാശിനെ മോഷ്ടിച്ചെടുത്തു അവനെയും അവന്റെ ധാത്രിയെയും ഒരു ശയനഗൃഹത്തിൽ ആക്കി. ഇങ്ങനെ യെഹോരാംരാജാവിന്റെ മകളും യെഹോയാദാപുരോഹിതന്റെ ഭാര്യയുമായ യെഹോശബത്ത്--അവൾ അഹസ്യാവിന്റെ സഹേദരിയല്ലോ--അഥല്യാ അവനെ കൊല്ലാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ ഒളിപ്പിച്ചു.

12 അവൻ അവരോടുകൂടെ ആറു സംവത്സരം ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ഒളിച്ചിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അഥല്യാ ദേശം വാണു.

1 And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the eldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned.

2 Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri.

3 He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counseller to do wickedly.

4 Wherefore he did evil in the sight of the Lord like the house of Ahab: for they were his counsellers after the death of his father to his destruction.

5 He walked also after their counsel, and went with Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel to war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramoth-gilead: and the Syrians smote Joram.

6 And he returned to be healed in Jezreel because of the wounds which were given him at Ramah, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria. And Azariah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab at Jezreel, because he was sick.

7 And the destruction of Ahaziah was of God by coming to Joram: for when he was come, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the Lord had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab.

8 And it came to pass, that, when Jehu was executing judgment upon the house of Ahab, and found the princes of Judah, and the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah, that ministered to Ahaziah, he slew them.

9 And he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him, (for he was hid in Samaria,) and brought him to Jehu: and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the Lord with all his heart. So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom.

10 But when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal of the house of Judah.

11 But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king’s sons that were slain, and put him and his nurse in a bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not.

12 And he was with them hid in the house of God six years: and Athaliah reigned over the land.
