1 Kings 9:8
ഈ ആലയം എത്ര ഉന്നതമായിരുന്നാലും കടന്നുപോകുന്ന ഏവനും അതിനെ കണ്ടു സ്തംഭിച്ചു ചൂളകുത്തി: യഹോവ ഈ ദേശത്തിന്നും ഈ ആലയത്തിന്നും ഇങ്ങനെ വരുത്തിയതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിക്കും.
| And at this | וְהַבַּ֤יִת | wĕhabbayit | veh-ha-BA-yeet |
| house, | הַזֶּה֙ | hazzeh | ha-ZEH |
| which is | יִֽהְיֶ֣ה | yihĕye | yee-heh-YEH |
| high, | עֶלְי֔וֹן | ʿelyôn | el-YONE |
| one every | כָּל | kāl | kahl |
| that passeth | עֹבֵ֥ר | ʿōbēr | oh-VARE |
| by | עָלָ֖יו | ʿālāyw | ah-LAV |
| it shall be astonished, | יִשֹּׁ֣ם | yiššōm | yee-SHOME |
| hiss; shall and | וְשָׁרָ֑ק | wĕšārāq | veh-sha-RAHK |
| and they shall say, | וְאָֽמְר֗וּ | wĕʾāmĕrû | veh-ah-meh-ROO |
| Why | עַל | ʿal | al |
| hath the Lord | מֶ֨ה | me | meh |
| done | עָשָׂ֤ה | ʿāśâ | ah-SA |
| thus | יְהוָה֙ | yĕhwāh | yeh-VA |
| unto this | כָּ֔כָה | kākâ | KA-ha |
| land, | לָאָ֥רֶץ | lāʾāreṣ | la-AH-rets |
| and to this | הַזֹּ֖את | hazzōt | ha-ZOTE |
| house? | וְלַבַּ֥יִת | wĕlabbayit | veh-la-BA-yeet |
| הַזֶּֽה׃ | hazze | ha-ZEH |
