പുരുഷമൈഥുനക്കാരും ദേശത്തു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; യഹോവ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞ ജാതികളുടെ സകലമ്ളേച്ഛതളും അവർ അനുകരിച്ചു.

| of the nations | הַגּוֹיִ֔ם | haggôyim | ha-ɡoh-YEEM |
| which | אֲשֶׁר֙ | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| the Lord | הוֹרִ֣ישׁ | hôrîš | hoh-REESH |
| out cast | יְהוָ֔ה | yĕhwâ | yeh-VA |
| before | מִפְּנֵ֖י | mippĕnê | mee-peh-NAY |
| the children | בְּנֵ֥י | bĕnê | beh-NAY |
