ಎದೋಮಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾವಲುದಂಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟನು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಎದೋಮಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಕಾವಲುದಂಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಎದೋಮ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ದಾಸರಾದರು. ದಾವೀದನು ಹೋದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿದನು.
