ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಮೇರೆಯು ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಗೆ ಅನುಸಾರ ವಾಗಿ ಇಳಿದು ಉಪ್ಪಿನ ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಗಿಯುವದು; ಇದು ಅದರ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲ ಮೇರೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇಶವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.

ಲೋಟನು ತನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಮೈದಾನವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೋಡಿದನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಸೊದೋಮನ್ನೂ ಗೊಮೋರ ವನ್ನೂ ನಾಶಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಅದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಚೋಗರಿನ ವರೆಗೆ ನೀರಾವರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕರ್ತನ ತೋಟದಂತೆಯೂ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಂತೆಯೂ ಇತ್ತು.

ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಉಪ್ಪಿನ ಸಮುದ್ರ ವಾಗಿರುವ ಸಿದ್ದೀಮ್ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದರು.

ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಸೊದೋಮ್ ಮತ್ತು ಗೊಮೋರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಂಧಕವನ್ನೂ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನೂ ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಸುರಿಸಿದನು.
