Luke 8:37
ಆಗ ಗದರೇನನ ಸೀಮೆಯ ಸುತ್ತು ಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಜನಸಮೂಹವೆಲ್ಲವು ಬಹಳ ಭಯ ಹಿಡಿದವರಾದದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿ ಕೊಂಡರು; ಆತನು ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ದನು.

ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಂಹಾರವಾಗಿ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ಸಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ದುಃಖಪಟ್ಟು--ಈ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲತಕ್ಕವನಾರು? ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಆತನು ಹೋಗತಕ್ಕ ಸ್ಥಳ ಯಾವದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಈಗ ನಾವು ಯಾಕೆ ಸಾಯಬೇಕು? ಈ ಮಹಾಅಗ್ನಿಯು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದಹಿಸಿಬಿಡುವದು; ನಾವು ಇನ್ನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ಸಾಯುತ್ತೇವೆ.
