ನಿಮ್ಮ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಕ್ಕಲಾಯಬಾರದು ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೆ ಯನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡಿಸಬಾರದು; ನೀವು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಡವ ರಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಪರಕೀಯರಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡ ಬೇಕು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನು ನಾನೇ.

ನನಗೆ ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಕಾಲದ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸುವ ವರ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಕ್ಕಲು ಆರಿಸುವವರ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ; ತಿನ್ನುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಗೊನೆ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಮೊದಲು ಹಣ್ಣಾದ ಅಂಜೂರ ವನ್ನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿಯದೆ.
