ಆದರೆ ಆ ಹೊಳಪಾದ ಮಚ್ಚೆಯು ಹರಡದೆ ಅದೇ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದು ಅದು ಉರಿಯುವ ಹುಣ್ಣಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಯಾಜಕನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧನೆಂದು ನುಡಿಯಬೇಕು.

ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ನಾತಾನನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದೆನು ಅಂದನು. ನಾತಾನನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಸಾಯದಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಪರಿಹರಿಸಿದನು.

ಹೀಗೆ ಶರೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನು ಉಳಿದಿರುವ ತನ್ನ ಜೀವಿತಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ದುರಾಶೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಬದುಕದೆ ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಬದುಕುವನು.
