Jeremiah 15:9
ಏಳು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತವಳು ಕುಂದುತ್ತಾಳೆ; ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಬಿಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ; ಹಗಲಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಅವಳ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಅಸ್ತಮಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವಳು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ; ಅವಮಾನ ಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರ ಶೇಷವನ್ನು ಅದರ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಕತ್ತಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗುವದೇನಂದರೆ, ನಾನು ಸೂರ್ಯನನ್ನು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಹಗಲಲ್ಲೇ ಕತ್ತಲಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡು ತ್ತೇನೆ.

ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ--ನಾವು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ, ನೀನು ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಇರುವವರು ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ; ಕತ್ತಿಗೆ ಇರುವವರು ಕತ್ತಿಗೆ; ಕ್ಷಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಇರುವವರು ಕ್ಷಾಮಕ್ಕೆ, ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಇರು ವವರು ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು.
