Genesis 45:11
ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುವೆನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಕ್ಷಾಮದ ಐದು ವರುಷಗಳಿವೆ. ನಿನಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೂ ನಿನಗಿರುವದೆಲ್ಲದಕ್ಕೂ ಬಡತನವಾಗಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರಿ.

ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 47:6
ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದೆ. ದೇಶದ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೂ ಸಹೋದರರೂ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡು. ಗೋಷೆನ್ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ವಾಸವಾ ಗಿರಲಿ. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಮಗಿರುವ ಮಂದೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿಚಾರಕರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಇರಿಸು ಅಂದನು.

ಆದರೆ ನೀವು--ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗಾಗಲೀ ತಾಯಿಗಾಗಲೀ-- ನನ್ನಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ ವಾಗತಕ್ಕದ್ದು ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವದಾ ದರೆ

ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಪ್ರ ದಾಯವನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ದೈವಾಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಅಸಡ್ಡೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ.

ಆದರೆ ಯಾವ ವಿಧವೆಗಾದರೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಲಿ, ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳಾ ಗಲಿ, ಇದ್ದರೆ ಅವರೇ ಮೊದಲು ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಕ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುಪ ಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಕಲಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ; ಇದು ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾದದ್ದೂ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾದದ್ದೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.
