Genesis 24:54
ಅವನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೂ ಊಟ ಮುಗಿಸಿ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರು. ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು--ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅರಸನು--ಅವನು ಸಹ ವರ್ತಮಾನ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನುಮೊದಲನೆಯವನ ಓಟವು ಚಾದೋಕನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಹೀಮಾಚನ ಓಟದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರುವದೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅರಸನು--ಅವನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನು, ಒಳ್ಳೇ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.

ತನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆಯುಳ್ಳವನನ್ನು ನೀನು ನೋಡಿ ದ್ದೀಯಾ? ಅವನು ನೀಚರ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಅರಸರ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ನಿಲ್ಲುವನು.

ಹಿಂದಿನ ದಿವಸಗಳು ಈ ದಿವಸಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಮೇಲಾ ಗಿರುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕಾರಣವೇನು ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳ ಬೇಡ. ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ವಿಚಾರಿ ಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
