ಆಗ ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರರು, ಜೋತಿಷ್ಯರು, ಕಸ್ದೀಯರು, ಶಕುನಗಾರರು ಒಳಗೆ ಬಂದರು; ನಾನು ಕನಸನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆನು; ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು 2:7
ಅವರು ಮತ್ತೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ಕನಸನ್ನು ಮೊದಲು ಹೇಳಲಿ, ಆಗ ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ನಾವು ತಿಳಿಸುವೆವು ಅಂದರು.
ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 41:8
ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಅವನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಕಳವಳಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಂತ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕರೇಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಫರೋಹನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಕನಸನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅವುಗಳ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವವರು ಯಾರೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನ ಆಳಿಕೆಯ ಎರಡನೆಯ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಕಂಡ ಕನಸುಗಳ ಪರಿಣಾಮದಿಂದ ಅವನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಕಳವಳ ಗೊಂಡು ನಿದ್ರೆಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಯಿತು.

ಆಗ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ಅರಸನ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಬಲ್ಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಭೂಲೋಕ ದಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ಯಾವ ಅರಸನಾದರೂ ಯಾವ ಪ್ರಭುವಾದರೂ ಯಾವ ಯಜಮಾನನಾದರೂ ಯಾವೊಬ್ಬ ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರನಲ್ಲೂ ಜೋತಿಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲೂ ಕಸ್ದೀಯನಲ್ಲೂ ಇಂಥ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಆಗ ದಾನಿ ಯೇಲನು ಅರಸನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ಅರಸನು ನಿರ್ಭಂಧವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳುವ ರಹಸ್ಯವನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳೂ ಜೋತಿಷ್ಯರೂ ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರರೂ ಶಕುನ ಹೇಳುವವರೂ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾರರು.

ಯನ್ನಯಂಬ್ರ ಎಂಬ ವರು ಮೋಶೆಯನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಇವರು ಸಹ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇವರು ಬುದ್ಧಿಗೆಟ್ಟವರೂ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
