ಕರ್ತನ ಮಂಜೂಷ ವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವವರು ಆರು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ನಡೆದಾಗ ಅವನು ಎತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಪಶು ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನೂ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೆಲ್ ಸಭೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮಂಜೂ ಷದ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದದರಿಂದ ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸಲಾಗದಷ್ಟು ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿ ದರು.
ಅರಣ್ಯಕಾಂಡ 7:9
ಆದರೆ ಕೆಹಾತ್ಯರ ಕುಮಾರರಿಗೆ ಯಾವದನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಗಲುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವದೇ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಸೇವೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಜನರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿ--ಯಾಜಕರಾದ ಲೇವಿಯರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವ ರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಹೊರುವದನ್ನು ನೋಡುವಾಗ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಅದರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು.

ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು -- ಲೇವಿಯರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತಾರೂ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಹೊರಬಾರದು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಹೊರಲೂ ಯುಗಯುಗಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಲೂ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.

ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನೂ ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಜೂಷದ ಮುಂದೆ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಸಭೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸಲಾಗದ ಕುರಿ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ದನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
