ಆದರೆ ಅವನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದಂಥ, ರೆಮಲ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಪೆಕಹನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡಿ ಅರ್ಗೋಬನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಯೇಯನ್ನೂ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಐವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನಿಗಿದ್ದ ಅರಮನೆ ಯೊಳಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.

ಹೀಗೆ ನಿಂಷಿಯ ಮಗನಾಗಿ ರುವ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೇಹುವು ಯೆಹೋರಾಮನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡಿ ದನು. ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಜಾಯೇಲನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಯೆಹೋರಾಮನೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೂ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾ ದಿನ ರಾಮೋತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.

ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಜರ್ಯನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಐವತ್ತೆರಡನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ರೆಮಲ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಪೆಕಹನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು.
