ಅರಸ ನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮನೆ ಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದು ಹೇಗಂದರೆ, ಅದರ ಉದ್ದ ಅರವತ್ತು ಮೊಳವೂ ಅಗಲ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮೊಳವೂ ಎತ್ತರ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಮೊಳವೂ.

ಆಮೇಲೆ, ಅವನು ನನ್ನನು ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದು ಕಂಬಗಳನ್ನೂ ಒಂದು ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆರು ಮೊಳ ಅಗಲವೆಂದೂ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಕಡೆ ಆರು ಮೊಳ ಅಗಲವೆಂದೂ ಅಳೆದನು. ಇದೇ ಆ ಗುಡಾರದ ಅಡ್ಡಗಲವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಅರಸನಾದ ಕೋರೆಷನ ಮೊದಲನೇ ವರುಷ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನಾದ ಕೋರೆಷನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರುವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಏನಂದರೆ--ಅವರು ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳವಾದ ಆಲಯವು ಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಡಲಿ. ಅದರ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರಗಳು ಬಲ ವಾಗಿ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡಲಿ; ಅದರ ಎತ್ತರ ಅರುವತ್ತು ಮೊಳ ಅದರ ಅಗಲ ಅರುವತ್ತು ಮೊಳ ಆಗಿರಲಿ;

ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಚಚ್ಚೌಕವಾಗಿದೆ; ಅದರ ಉದ್ದವು ಅದರ ಅಗಲದಷ್ಟಿದೆ. ಅವನು ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಕೋಲಿನಿಂದ ಅಳತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು; ಅಳತೆಯು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ನೂರು ಮೈಲಿ ಆಯಿತು. ಅದರ ಉದ್ದವೂ ಅಗಲವೂ ಎತ್ತರವೂ ಸಮವಾಗಿವೆ.
