ಆಗ ನಾವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಂಜು ಬೀಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳುವೆವು. ಅವನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡವಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಯುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

ಆದರೆ ಇವರು ಹೋದ ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರು ಬಾವಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಏರಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಶೀಘ್ರ ವಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಹೊಳೆ ದಾಟಿಹೋಗು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು ಅಂದರು.

ಕಣ್ಣುಗುಡ್ಡಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡು.

ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಎದ್ದು ಅವನನ್ನು ನಿರಾಶೆಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಡು. ದುಷ್ಟರ ಕೈಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಕತ್ತಿಯ ಮೂಲಕ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸು.
