ஆகையால், இதோ, நாட்கள் வருமென்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார், அப்பொழுது அம்மோன் மக்களின் பட்டணமாகிய ரப்பாவில் போரின் ஆர்ப்பரிப்பைக் கேட்கச்செய்வேன்; அது பாழான மண்மேடாகும்; அதை சுற்றியுள்ள ஊர்களும் நெருப்பால் சுட்டெரிக்கப்படும்; ஆனாலும் இஸ்ரவேல் தன் தேசத்தைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொண்டவர்களின் தேசத்தைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்ளும் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

கர்த்தர் கூறுகிறார், “அம்மோனின் ரப்பாவிலே ஒரு காலம் வரும். அப்போது ஜனங்கள் போரின் சத்தங்களைக் கேட்பார்கள். அம்மோனின் ரப்பா அழிக்கப்படும். அது அழிந்த கட்டிடங்கள் நிறைந்த வெற்று மலையாகும். அதைச் சுற்றியுள்ள பட்டணங்கள் எரிக்கப்படும். அந்த ஜனங்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களைத் தம் சொந்த நாட்டை விட்டு விலகும்படி பலவந்தப்படுத்தினார்கள். ஆனால் பிறகு, இஸ்ரவேல் அவர்களை விலகும்படி வற்புறுத்தி அவர்கள் தேசத்தை சுதந்தரிப்பர்” என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
